Activities for Primary Schools
I am available to provide half-day sessions in the classroom or in your school grounds for Key Stage 2 pupils, including the following topics:
- Invertebrates
- Rocks and fossils
- Trees
- Freshwater invertebrates (pond dipping)
- Mapping
Activities for Secondary Schools and Undergraduates
For secondary students and undergraduates I can provide sessions on:
- Field survey techniques
- Plant survey using quadrats and transects
- Invertebrate survey - pitfall trapping, malaise traps, moth trapping
- Woodland ecology
- Ancient trees
If you are looking to develop a wildlife area in your school grounds I would be happy to work with you on design, management and planting regimes to maximise the wildlife value of your chosen area.
