Training

I regularly deliver training workshops to a variety of client groups - both professional ecologists and amateur enthusiasts. These have included:

• Spider identification workshops (introductory and advanced) for:
  • CEH staff at Wallingford
  • Buckinghamshire Recorders
  • Oxfordshire Outdoor Education Service (introductory workshops for adults)
• Ancient tree verifiers training workshop
• Ecological survey techniques - Oxford University Department of Continuing Education
• Plant gall identification

Lectures & Presentations

I travel throughout Oxfordshire and further afield to give lectures and presentations. Subjects offered include the following:

• Spiders
• Woodland ecology
• Ecology of the oak tree
• Moths (including leading evening Moth Watch events)
• Plant galls
• Ancient trees
• The work of the Woodland Trust
